Cartagena – Colombia, August 30, 2022 – V.tal will participate in Andicom 2022, the International Congress of Information Technology and Telecommunications companies, which takes place in Cartagena, Colombia, between August 31 and September 2. This will be the first participation in an international event after the integration of the company, which has the largest neutral fiber optic network in Brazil, with GlobeNet, resulting in a large digital infrastructure player for the telecom operators, internet providers and OTTs market.

“Our goal at this event will be to introduce this new configuration that results in a robust, high-quality and reliable infrastructure with the integration and complementarity of V.tal and GlobeNet assets. We are increasingly consolidating ourselves as a strategic partner for telecom companies in Brazil and the Americas,” explains Bento Louro, vice president of Wholesale Business at V.tal.

V.tal has more than 400 thousand kilometers of ground-based optical fiber, connecting more than 2,380 municipalities in Brazil and more than 26 thousand kilometers of subsea cables that connect Brazil to Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia, Bermuda and the United States – including, in these countries, interconnection points. The company also has 6 edge data centers distributed between Brazil and Colombia.

“We will emphasize to the decision makers of telecom companies our privileged geographic positioning, as well as the expansion plans for Chile and the new edge data centers that are being built. In Brazil, in particular, our digital infrastructure is strategic for the feasibility of 5G, IoT and connectivity solutions for the various sectors of the corporate market,” adds Louro.
