São Paulo, March 16, 2022 – The largest fiber optic infrastructure company in the country and the first neutral end-to-end connectivity network company in the Brazilian market, V.tal has in recent months signed contracts with 7 regional FTTH (fiber to the home of the customer) service providers in the Northeast region of the country. In all, these providers represent a market of about 3 million households with the fiber optic internet service available for contracting in 41 municipalities in the states of Alagoas, Bahia, Maranhão, Ceará, Paraíba, Rio Grande do Norte, Sergipe, Pernambuco and Piauí.

BK Telecomunicações, an internet provider that offers high-speed internet in the states of Alagoas and Pernambuco, is one of V.tal’s customers who decided to rent the fiber optics infrastructure instead of building its own network. “We already envisioned the neutral network model, and thanks to the partnership with V.tal we will be able to accelerate by at least three years our strategic goal of reaching the entire Northeastern region with our high-speed internet offer, which should become a reality by the end of this year. With V.tal’s fiber optic infrastructure, the BK Group will be able to focus on its core business: delivering the technologies we are developing to improve education and security in our region. Until then, it would be necessary to build the entire communication infrastructure to then deploy these technologies,” explains Welliton Sá, Executive Director of BK Telecomunicações.

V.tal offers end-to-end FTTH neutral network solutions in addition to wholesale services, with a unique position in the national territory to serve regional operators and providers. The company has a robust fiber optic network of about 400,000 km, reaching 2,300 cities and more than 15 million homes in Brazil. Between national operators and regional providers, the company already counts more than 400 contracts throughout the country.
