São Paulo, February 18, 2022 – V.tal, the first end-to-end neutral network company in the Brazilian market, surpassed 15 million homes passed with availability of fiber optic internet contracting in all regions of the country. The company has an investment plan of R$30 billion by 2025 to expand the existing network and increase capacity, contributing to the massification of high-speed internet. The company has been accelerating the deployment of fiber optic internet at a speed of 460,000 homes passed per month, a pace of growth that is expected to reach 32 million homes passed by 2025.

 

V.tal was launched in the market in August 2021 and has since closed more than 20 new contracts for fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) neutral network solutions, adding to its customer base more than 400 wholesale contracts between operators and internet providers. In addition to Oi, V.tal customers include Vero, Datora, Master, SoftX, Voa, EasyTV, among others.

 

In the Southeast region, V.tal’s customer providers have at their disposal the company’s neutral network that covers more than 4.6 million homes passed with fiber optic internet in 63 municipalities in the states of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo. In the South, there are more than 3.7 million residences in 67 municipalities in all states of the region. In the Northeast there are more than 3 million homes passed in 41 municipalities in the states of Alagoas, Bahia, Maranhão, Ceará, Paraíba, Rio Grande do Norte, Sergipe, Pernambuco and Piauí.

 

In the Midwest region, there are more than 2.3 million homes with fiber optic internet service available for contracting in 26 municipalities in the states of Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás and the Federal District. And in the North, there are more than 1.5 million residences in 17 municipalities in the states of Amapá, Amazonas, Acre, Rondônia, Roraima, Pará and Tocantins.
