São Paulo, October 18, 2022 – V.tal will be present at Futurecom 2022 in order to show the market that the neutral end-to-end internet network sharing model is already a reality in the country. The company is celebrating the milestone of 50 new contracts with regional providers since its launch in August 2021, reinforcing the proposal to evolve with its business model in the face of new technologies that are emerging, such as 5G, IoT and Edge Computing.

“We are very pleased with the partnerships we have made, as it consolidates our performance as the largest neutral network company in the Brazilian market. We have shown customers, regardless of size, the benefits of sharing our end-to-end network, which is robust, high quality, available in all regions of the country and still provides the delivery of a high-speed broadband service, increasingly demanded by end customers”, says Eduardo Silveira, Vice President of Strategy at V.tal.

Under the neutral network sharing model, regional operators and providers do not need to invest in building and maintaining their own telecom infrastructure – which requires high investment – to offer ultra-speed internet services. They can share V.tal’s network, which will reach 20 million homes passed with fiber optics in December 2022 and continues to expand, and focus their efforts on offering new services and high-quality service to their consumers.

“We have studied the market a lot and one of the characteristics of the proprietary networks of a single company is that they have an occupancy rate that reaches approximately 20%, that is, the cost of money for this investment is not paid, in addition to being very high in the current macroeconomic scenario.  The neutral networks model comes to optimize this occupancy rate, with more customers using it, which will result in greater efficiency and financial advantage for operators and providers, allowing sustainable growth,”explains Silveira.

The neutral networks model also involves aspects directly linked to the ESG agenda because it massifies access to high-quality broadband and accelerates the country’s digitization; it avoids the overlapping of cables and equipment, increasing safety and contributing to the urbanization of cities and the orderly use of poles.

V.tal becomes a signatory of the UN Global Compact in Brazil, an initiative of the United Nations (UN) to mobilize the business community in the adoption and promotion, in its business practices, of ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.

On the business strategy front, V.tal has been preparing to be a neutral platform for digital solutions, to meet the current and future demands that will arise from new technologies such as 5G, IoT and Edge Computing. The company has been evolving to form a large ecosystem of innovation-focused partners, who together will work on developing new solutions for carriers and internet providers.
